Regular monitoring of medical oxygen cylinders is crucial in Occupational Health Centers (OHCs) within a factory setting to ensure the safety and well-being of employees. Accurate monitoring of oxygen cylinder pressure is essential to guarantee a constant and reliable supply of oxygen, which is often critical in emergency situations. It helps in preventing potential health risks and ensures that the OHC is well-prepared to address any unforeseen medical emergencies.
I have designed an excel utility which simplifies this monitoring process, providing a user-friendly tool for OHC personnel.
Features:
- -This tool allows for the systematic recording of oxygen cylinder pressures on a daily or periodic basis.
- -It automatically calculates the remaining minutes of oxygen based on the latest pressure entry, input flow rate, and cylinder type, offering real-time insights into the available oxygen supply.
- -Please note, to enhance the utility's effectiveness, please ensure accurate entry of cylinder type, as the calculations are dependent on this information.
- -The Excel sheet includes a comprehensive database of various oxygen cylinder types, including details on water capacity, nominal pressure, and nominal volume. It is crucial not to delete this database, although users have the flexibility to edit it.
- -The utility incorporates protective measures to safeguard critical formula cells from inadvertent deletion or changes. However, users can access these cells by unprotecting the sheet, providing a balance between security and flexibility.
- -Furthermore, the utility incorporates visual cues to alert users to potential issues. It highlights the expiry date of cylinders in red font if within 90 days or already expired, enabling proactive management of cylinder inventory. Additionally, the font turns red when the remaining oxygen minutes are less than 60, drawing immediate attention to a potentially critical situation.
